Coaching
Our Methodology
Based on input from the participant and family, coaching may address skills such as increasing independence and participation, initiating and maintaining conversations, making choices, joining group activities, reciprocal interaction, communicating preferences and boundaries, self-advocacy, navigating community spaces, and adapting to changes while interacting with others. The process includes identifying goals, learning and practicing the skills, and applying those skills to a chosen activity.
Coaching may support participation in community-based activities chosen by the participant and family, such as recreational and leisure classes, community events, library activities, parks and recreation programs, interest-based groups, and peer activities.
