Sessions are non-clinical and focus on practical social-participation skills that support meaningful inclusion in everyday social and recreational settings. Skills may initially be taught in a smaller, structured setting where there are fewer competing demands and more opportunities for individualized support. From there we generalize those skills in natural environments across people, settings, and real-life situations.
Sessions use age-appropriate, interest-based activities, direct teaching, modeling, role-play, guided practice, and real-time interactions. Participants practice skills in a respectful, low-pressure setting and are supported to generalize those skills to chosen activities with peers, friends, family members, and the broader community.
